What Constitutes a Claim?
Qui Tam Claims San Antonio Texas
The qui tam statute defines a “claim” as any request or demand, whether under contract or otherwise, for money or property which is made to a contractor, grantee, or other recipient if any portion of it will be provided or reimbursed by the United States. Thus a false claim will be actionable under the False Claims Act if payment of the claim would result in a loss to the United States.Rosie Alvarado, P.C.
